Editing and proofreading: Rainspa

Rainspa is a luxury spa in the heart of Montreal’s Old Port. I reviewed their brochure for grammar, spelling, punctuation and consistency. I also worked on several other related projects for their affiliate hotels.

Stylistic and structural editing: Go-Fit on the Go

Author Sophie Roy hired me to provide structural and stylistic editing for her manuscript, Go-Fit on the Go. I worked with her to assess the overall architecture and content of the material and suggest improvements. I took the reader’s perspective to make sure her tone and style suited her intended audience and clarified the meaning of the language, ensuring that her authentic voice was retained.

Editing and proofreading: Desjardins

For this brochure, translated into eight languages, I reviewed the text for formatting, consistency and accuracy and checked the artwork, captions, headers, page number accuracy. I also notified the client of potential layout issues and of sections that could lead to misinterpretation.

Editing and rewriting: AFT Global

Advanced Fiber Technologies (AFT) needed an editor to help gather information from existing documentation and rewrite the document to make it reader-friendly. I used ‘track changes’ on Word so the the client could see and review the changes I made. For these brochures, I reworded ambiguous prose, eliminated jargon, and presented the information in a useful way that made it easy for the reader to understand the text.
